So what constitutes moderate alcohol intake?  One drink is equal to 5 ounces—the Dietary Guidelines recommend no more than one drink per day for women and two a day for men.  Red wine has been found to be the most beneficial type of wine due to several factors—its higher polyphenol and tannic acid content along with containing more of the grapes chemical compounds. What is the best red wine to choose to drink?  Pinot noir may be the best pick as studies have shown it has the highest level of the antioxidant resveratrol which has many anti-aging properties.  When drinking wine, it may be a good idea to combine it with a meal as wine may inhibit the absorption of fatty acids.  Drinking a glass of wine with a meal helps encourage you to relax, slow down, and really enjoy you meal.  Wine has also been shown to protect your body from the bacteria in foods which is another good reason to imbibe with a meal. Remember:  If a teetotaler, don’t start drinking; however, if wine is a preferred beverage, moderation along with a healthy diet is the key to receiving it’s many health benefits. Education is a huge problem when it comes to carbohydrates and weight loss it is one of the leading causes behind many weight loss problems. The lack of education gives misconception and myths. One misconception is involving carbohydrates consumption. Most of us think that all carbohydrates are bad and that if one can get rid of the carbohydrates that they consume, then weight loss will be so much easier. In any case that is far from the truth. There are really two dfferent types of carbohydrates to us. The good ones and the bad ones. You really need to stay clear of the bad ones of course. The good ones though will provide you with the very needed nutrition and energy. This article is about the good carbohydrates and the bad carbohydrates that you should eat to get the maximum benefits for fast weight loss.

1. Some of the bad carbohydrates that you need to stay away from are the processed foods that contain many carbohydrates. These foods are chips, white bread, pasta, soft drinks, cakes, biscuits, candies, and so on. You need to stay away from these foods at all costs, but only if you really want to lose weight. Those foods do contain a little nutritional value but only for a period of time. As soon as they are sent through the body for the food processing stage, most of their nutritional value is gone. All that is left are empty calories which only make you fat and nothing more. The processed foods that we talked about contain sugar and as you might know, sugar is high in calories. The more sugar you eat, the more weight you will put on. They offer very little nutritional value to the body and they are easily converted by the body into fat cells. A side from adding on the pounds, eating processed food all the time, can result in diabetes, since your blood sugar increases so much that it will become extremely, and I mean extremely difficult for the insulin in your body to control it.

2. Some of the good carbohydrates that you need can usually be found in the all natural foods, such as raw fruits, vegetables, seeds, wholegrain pastas, wholegrain wheat, and such. All of these foods contain carbohydrates for sure, but not the ones that would make you gain the weight, that we have talked about. Not like the carbohydrates that are contained in processed food, these are carbohydrates which take a longer time to digest and therefor, you do not add on the extra weight. Plus most of them contain a high amount of fiber. Fiber will keep you full for a long period of time. There is a natural way to suppress your appetite, and this should be the way.

So, not all the Carbohydrates are bad for you, so to speak. If you make the right choices in the carbohydrates that you eat, they can help in faster weight loss. If you are looking for ways to lose weight you just need to understand the facts about carbohydrates and weight loss and how it can help you.
